Share a file with a private link
Upload one file up to 100 MB, copy the link and send it to anyone. They do not need an account. The file is deleted after 30 minutes unless you choose longer, up to 15 days.
How sharing works
Pick a file, choose how long it should stay online and, if you like, add a password. You get your link the moment the upload starts, so you can send it while the file is still uploading. Whoever opens it sees the file name and size, then a progress bar until the virus check passes, and after that a download button. Keep this tab open until your upload is done. When the time is up the file is deleted from our server for good and the link stops working.
You can keep up to three files online at a time. A fourth upload replaces your oldest file, you are asked first, and that link stops working as soon as the new file is ready. Need a fresh link for the same file? Use New link in your list, which cancels the old one.
What keeps a shared file safe
Every link contains a long random code that cannot be guessed, and we store only a scrambled form of it. Each upload is scanned for viruses before the link works, and files that look like programs or scripts are refused. Downloads are always delivered as files and are never opened inside the website, and the download page carries no tracking or chat widgets, so your link does not travel to other services. Search engines are told to ignore these pages.
No scan catches everything, so people who receive a file should still open only what they trust. Anyone holding the link can download the file, so treat it like a key, and add a password for anything sensitive.
Questions people ask
How long does a shared file stay online?
The standard time is 30 minutes. You can choose longer, up to 15 days. We may set a shorter limit at times, and the choices in the menu always show what is allowed right now. You can delete the file yourself whenever you like.
Does the person receiving the file need an account?
No. They open the link and press Download. If you set a password, they type it first.
How big can the file be?
Up to 100 MB. Larger files are refused before the upload finishes.
Can I share more than one file?
Yes, up to three at a time. Starting a fourth upload asks you first, then replaces your oldest file and ends its link. To send many files in one link, put them in a ZIP first.
What cannot be shared?
Programs and scripts such as .exe, .bat, .msi and .js files, files over 100 MB, and anything the virus scan flags.
What happens when the link expires?
The file is permanently deleted from our server and the link shows a not available page. Nothing is kept for later.
